I contacted 4 Pillars with much trepidation after realizing that my wife and I were in dire need of help. One night we sat at home, looking over all of our bills and realized that we had piled up over $191,610 in consumer debt. We were in shock. We had no idea how this had happened. But, basically over about 15 years it had just crept up. We always felt we had a handle on it, but, after basically all of our money going to credit companies each month we realized we had a major problem. I had no idea what to do. I knew very little about this company, I had seen a few ads online, I was very skeptical (basically too good to be true) but after a little research and with no idea of how we were going to solve this problem, I booked a meeting. John and his team were simply amazing! Right from the first email and phone calls they were extremely kind, caring and helpful. I hated that I had put my family in this situation (over $191,610 in debt), the stress was unbearable, and I was angry at myself for having to book a meeting like this to see if we could get help. So even in the worse case possible, John was easy going, reassuring and confident that he could help us. He made us feel that we weren't alone and that he'd do his best to help ease this situation. Honestly, I had some doubt during the entire process, but with each meeting things just got brighter and brighter for us. In the end, John saved us and our family. Through his hard work we got our debt down to under $27,000 which the creditors accepted and we have been making very manageable payments ever since then. We learned a huge lesson, many lessons in fact, from going through this process. With John's help we are now in a very strong financial position again and will be rid of all our consumer debt through a very timely and manageable process.

For most part of the year, my partner and I have been struggling financially trying to keep ahead of our bills. It always seemed like one thing after another that would get in the way or pop up and then we would get behind. Between losing his job and me going for surgery, the bills started to pile up. I thought if I worked a second job that it would get better. It didn’t. I was so stressed, tired and my health was taking a turn for the worse from worrying. We were at our wits end and the creditors were calling on a monthly basis, eventually on a weekly basis. It was to the point where I was ignoring their calls just so I didn’t have to deal with it. I got more stressed as time went on. Our relationship was starting to strain and we were always arguing about one thing or another. We even started avoiding our family members because we didn’t want them to see us in financial trouble. With two of our children about to graduate from high school and enter University, we knew we had to do something. I was too embarrassed to talk to anyone. I felt as though this was our fault and it is our problem, we need to fix it. We tried and tried for months to get caught up, but the interest on the cards were more than the payments we were making. I read testimonials and figured they had to be paid actors. I read some more about their company and decided to make the call to see what they could do that I couldn’t do myself. I got a call back the exact next day from Glenda. We made an appointment and were reluctant and standoffish. I still thought it was too good to be true. Glenda was amazing. She listened to our story and never judged us. She was considerate and very approachable. By the end of the first meeting with her, I felt comfortable with her and talking about our situation. She gave us options. It wasn’t just one way. We had choices and she allowed us to take the time to go over each option and decide on our own, which would suite us best. After that first meeting, my anxiety and stress level came down about 80%. Even my partner noticed that I was more relaxed and not as worried. During the second meeting, I was feeling a lot more confident that this was the way to go. We needed to get our life back on track and we needed help. Glenda walked through all the steps with us slowly so that we were not overwhelmed in any way. The kit she gave us was easy to follow and check list was helpful so that we didn’t forget anything. I had many questions and concerns about creditors before this second meeting and Glenda was there every day allowing me to ask the simplest of questions. I could really count on her. Glenda assured me that after the signing of the contract, that I would not have to deal with any creditors what so ever. 4 Pillars was going to take care of everything. They made it manageable for us. They made it so we could stop worrying and start living again. We were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company and enjoy our family. 4 Pillars in Saskatoon are amazing and I feel that they treated us like family, and went through hoops for us. They pulled out all the stops to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. They are my rock and I couldn’t be more pleased with what they have done to help me and my family get back on track.
