Hampton is a small hamlet just north of Bowmanville. This is a common cycling destination for me as it is a great place to ride through, particularly down Old Scugog Rd. I like the little corner store which always seem to have a good selection of craft beers. The Christmas light display on Old Scugog Road has certainly gotten popular too, maybe too much! Hampton continues to grow, and might grow even more quickly with the 407 running through it, but it has been able to keep it’s sense of a small town community intact. It is that sense of community which makes it especially satisfying when I help people from Hampton with their debt issues.
